BA(Hons) MTeach(Distinction) Dip.Couns(Distinction) MBACP CCPT |
I am an Integrative Counsellor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) offering a safe supportive space for in-person sessions in Crystal Palace, South East London. I am experienced with providing online and telephone sessions for those more comfortable with a virtual environment, or whose availability in busy modern life means online or telephone sessions are more time efficient for their day-to-day life.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), as well as the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO). I adhere to their Ethical Frameworks, placing my duty of care and safety for you as an individual at the core of the way I work.
Being an Integrative Counsellor means I have studied a range of therapeutic approaches such as Humanistic Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Existential and Cognitive theory. Each of these approaches are integrated into the way I will therapeutically work with you, depending on your own unique requirements. Working with this integrative and relational person centred therapeutic model means I am here to support you in the way you specifically need at this time. Our time together will be informed by your agenda for sessions, not directed by me, or to ‘fit’ a singular therapeutic approach.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a Certificate in Trauma Therapy I am experienced with working those who have emotional and somatic responses to events that have threatened their life, the life of another, or a loved one. The long-term effects of experiencing or witnessing traumatic events such as abuse, violence and death can be overwhelming and take time to process. I offer trauma informed safe, compassionate, support for those trying to manage the emotional and somatic consequences of life-threatening events.
