We all seek counselling in the hope of changing some element in our lives where we are experiencing discord or discontent. The aim of counselling is to provide you with a confidential, empathetic, non-judgemental space to explore your feelings and emotions as you develop a clearer insight into your self and your relationships.
Change is always possible, but it is not always straightforward and it takes time as well as personal adjustment as you reframe your approach to moving ahead with life. There is not always a clear absolution to enable the past or present challenges to be ‘let go’, but counselling does offer a safe space where you can learn to integrate and develop a form of understanding about experiences that created those emotional and psychological wounds, enabling you to make unanticipated changes in your life and thought processes.
As an Integrative Counsellor my practical and theoretical training is grounded in Humanistic Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Existential and Cognitive ways of working. This integrated approach means our counselling sessions will always work where you feel most comfortable and safe to explore. You may be seeking counselling due to a present circumstance which may be influencing future decisions. Or because you feel it is time to explore past experiences you are aware are impacting your present life, relationships and future hopes. Working integratively means we explore your life stages and events when you feel able to do so.
I am experienced working with individuals on either a short term or long-term basis, depending on what suits you best. I have supported clients from a variety of diverse backgrounds and ages for a range of different reasons including but not limited to:

Discovery Call
Prior to working together we would have an initial 30-minute discovery call to give me an insight into what brings you to counselling at this time, along with your goals and expectations for counselling. It is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of the way we could work together, and ask any questions you may have. There is no fee for the discovery call consultation, and no expectation to commit to sessions.
